Special Board Meeting
of the
Illinois Prairie District Public Library
Board of Trustees
May 17, 2011

A special meeting of the IPDPL Board of Trustees was held at 4:00pm on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at the Metamora Headquarters.  Present were Kramer, Pugh, Rush, Weddle, Zoss, and Director Fredericksen.  Also in attendance was library building consultant Lee Logan, and visitors Mr. and Mrs. Clark Hopkins.
The purpose of this special meeting was to review the first draft of the Request for Qualification Bid on the proposed Germantown Hills library site.  Logan was careful to keep the integrity of Fred Schlipf's recommendations while drawing together a proposal of a building structure to meet the current and future needs of the district.  This includes recognizing the needs of the Germantown Hills patrons, the placement of headquarters staff, and the district patrons at large who will desire to use this new, state of the art structure.
The Board will spend time personally reviewing this draft and submit any necessary changes at the June 7 regular Board Meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:50pm.
