          A special meeting of the IPDPL Board of Trustees was called to order on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at 4:00pm at the Metamora Headquarters in Metamora, IL.  Trustees present were Hicks, Kramer, Pugh, Rush, Weddle and Zoss; Buhr was absent.  Director Fredericksen was present also, and Doug Pfeiffer from Dewberry.

          The purpose of this meeting was to begin confirmation of the floor plan development of the Germantown Hills library, in order to complete a cost estimate and finalize conceptual adjustments that need to be in place as we apply for a state grant for this building.  Details of the floor layout were discussed at length, considering the needs of patrons and also what would enable the staff to serve most efficiently and effectively.  Examples of how to attain the highest visibility on the property and within the surrounding properties was assessed.  Dewberry will continue to use the votes submitted at the meeting with Germantown residents to influence the design of the building.


ACTION ITEM:  Kaywin Martin requested payment to cover most recent travel expenses.  Kramer made a motion and Zoss seconded to pay his expenses.  The motion passed.


          The next regular meeting of the IPDPL will be on April 3rd, 2012 at 4:00pm at the Roanoke Branch Library in Roanoke, IL.  Dewberry architects will attend this meeting.  A follow-up special meeting will be held later in the month on April 12 at the Metamora Headquarters in Metamora, IL.  The meeting was adjourned at 5:40pm.
