Trustees began with a tour of the Roanoke Branch Library.
Board Meeting Minutes:


The regular meeting of the IPDPL Board of Trustees was held at the Roanoke Branch


Library with the following trustees present: Kramer, Koehler, Peterson, Pugh, Rush, and Santos. Zoss was absent. Director Fredricksen was also present. The minutes were approved as was a motion to pay the bills and requisitions.


A. Computers for Washburn and Benson: A motion was made by Koehler and seconded by Pugh to authorize the purchase of computers and cabling for these branches so they can be online to check out materials. The cost per computer and cables is not to exceed $2000 each. All voted yes.


B. Germantown Hills Site: A counter offer has been received on the purchase of additional property. This offer is for all of the remaining lot, 4.02 acres, for $300,000. After a lengthy discussion, a motion was made by Peterson and seconded by Koehler to table this and to respond at a later date. All voted yes.


C. Spring Bay repairs: A motion was made by Peterson and seconded by Pugh to make the necessary repairs on the door of the storage building and to further investigate the seepage problem. All voted yes.


D. Policy Examination: Tabled


E. Salaries: A motion was made by Koehler and seconded by Pugh to grant a 3% increase in salaries and to move the Assistant Library Cataloger in line with the other assistant positions. All voted yes.


F. Summer cataloging position: A motion was made by Pugh and seconded by Koehler to again hire Teri Zotz for this position to work 20 hours per week for 8 weeks at $8.00 and hour. All voted yes.


The meeting was adjourned at 5:30 pm.

The next regular meeting will be at Spring Bay Branch Library, 411 Illinois Street, East Peoria, IL at 4:00pm.
