PROVIDED BY WOODFORD COUNTY SPECIAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT
at the Illinois Prairie District Public Library
Baby Talk is a new Woodford County Program for children 0-36 months. Its mission is to positively impact child development and nurture healthy parent-child relationships during the critical early years.
There are many benefits to reading to your children. Reading aloud builds parent/child relationships, encourages language development, boosts a child’s self-concept, and lays a foundation for moral development. Reading helps your baby to understand the world, encourages imagination and creativity, and makes parenting easier.
The program is offered the first and third weeks of the month at Washburn on Mondays from 2:00-3:00.
The Germantown Hills program is on the following dates from 10:30-11:30: Monday March 13th, Monday, April 10, Wednesday, April 19 and Monday, May 8th.
The Metamora program is on the following Wednesdays from 10:45-11:45: March 15th, Apr 12th, April 26th, and May 10th.
